What products can be freeze-dried using freeze-drying equipment? It should be understood that the principle of freeze-drying equipment is a drying method that pretreats water-containing substances and sublimates water from solid to gas in a low-temperature vacuum environment, thereby removing moisture and preserving the substances.
Freeze-dried food processed by freeze-drying has the characteristics of long shelf life, good rehydration, color, aroma, taste, and excellent nutritional content. After drying, the volume and shape of the food remain basically unchanged, and the material is sponge-like without drying shrinkage. It can be widely used in vegetables, fruits, condiments, aquatic products, biological products, medicine, beverages, specimens and other fields.
Freeze-drying equipment is developing rapidly in China. With the increasing market demand for freeze-drying equipment and the continuous improvement of drug quality requirements, freeze-drying equipment will have great development.
Freeze-drying equipment facilitates the control of heating temperature and vacuum requirements at different stages during material drying. In terms of traditional Chinese medicine, it is still limited to freeze-drying a small amount of ginseng, deer antlers, yam, cordyceps and other herbs. Moreover, a large number of Chinese patent medicines do not adopt the freeze-drying process, which is far different from foreign countries.
At present, most domestic food freeze dryer manufacturers are following the path of imitation. Some manufacturers have made great progress while adopting advanced foreign technology. So how to improve freeze-drying equipment?
1. Reduce costs and energy consumption: Some foreign freeze-drying equipment is not made of stainless steel, but is coated with low-carbon steel for food, which emits infrared rays at room temperature. Coat high-performance far-infrared emitting materials on the surface of the shelves to enhance their radiation capabilities; surface treat the material pallets to enhance their absorption capabilities. Optimizing the structure, size and frosting characteristics of the water trap is of more practical significance because its current cost is equivalent to that of a freeze-drying box and its operating power consumption is large. For freeze dryers, the heating system only supplements the heat of sublimation, and the power consumption should not be too high. However, the existing equipment is not satisfactory, and the structure should be optimized to reduce energy consumption.
2. Develop continuous freeze-drying equipment: Most of the freeze-drying equipment currently produced are intermittent products. With the development of industrial technology, it will be an inevitable trend to develop continuous freeze-drying equipment and increase the output of freeze-dried products.
